The Lakes Area Music Festival is set to captivate audiences from July 25 to August 17, 2025, in Brainerd, Minnesota.

This year's theme, 'Myths and Magic,' promises a spellbinding array of performances that blend classical masterpieces with enchanting narratives.

Under the baton of Christian Reif, the festival will feature over 250 professional musicians from top ensembles nationwide.

The festival opens on July 25 with the gala event, 'Spellbound,' showcasing Broadway sensations Meghan Picerno and Andrea Ross alongside the Lakes Area Music Festival Symphony.

Highlights include a fully staged production of Engelbert Humperdinck's opera, 'Hänsel & Gretel,' on August 9 and 10, bringing the beloved fairy tale to life.

On August 16 and 17, the festival concludes with 'Wagner’s Ring,' featuring orchestral selections from Richard Wagner's epic cycle, paired with music from Howard Shore's 'The Lord of the Rings' film scores.

Additional events include the 'Block Party' on August 6 at the Mississippi Landing Amphitheater, offering a blend of pop hits and classical favorites in an outdoor setting.

For families, the 'Magical Keys' concert on August 3 features pianist and illusionist Igor Lipinski, combining music and magic for an unforgettable experience.
